▪  Regularly appearing for and on behalf of FAB along with external legal counsels before various courts of law and other quasi-judicial forums in various matters pertaining to illegal use of frequency spectrum, withdrawal on account of non-utilization of frequency spectrum or non-payment of annual spectrum fee, compensation suits filed on account of loss caused due to interference in frequency bands etc.
▪  Drafting and vetting of pleadings, reports, written replies / para wise comments for onward submission in courts of law after taking technical input and relevant information from concerned internal wings / departments.
▪  Providing legal assistance to FAB’s internal wings and Frequency Monitoring Stations all over the country in respect of frequency spectrum related issues, illegal use of radio frequencies, HR, land and estate matters etc.
▪  Dealing with matters pertaining to engagement of legal counsels including inter alia determination / negotiation of professional legal fee and out of pocket expenses, supervision / performance evaluation of legal counsels etc.
▪  Drafting, reviewing and commenting upon wide range of contracts and agreements, tender and bidding documents, statutory rules and regulations, notifications and orders, policies and other legal documents.
▪  Conducting legal research and render legal opinions on various official and policy matters and queries forwarded to Legal Section for opinion and advice.
▪  Advising on and supporting HR wing to resolve miscellaneous HR related issues including, without limitation, service and employment law matters, advice on HR policies and procedures, employee terminations, complaints, warnings, disciplinary proceedings and/or dismissal.
▪  Maintaining close coordination with the Office of the Attorney General of Pakistan, Cabinet Division, Law Division, PTA, PEMRA and other departments regarding court cases and other legal and legislative matters.

▪  Represented USF Company in a number of complex civil and corporate contentious matters ranging from telecom and commercial disputes to legal, regulatory and tax matters before various courts of law, tribunals, high courts and other judicial, quasi-judicial forums and regulatory bodies
▪  Represented USF Company in various mediation and arbitration proceedings initiated pursuant to dispute resolution clauses provided under the contracts or otherwise pursuant to Rule 31 of USF Rules 2006.
▪  Drafted and vetted proposed draft amendments in Pakistan Telecommunications (Re-Organization) Act, 1996, Pakistan Telecommunication Rules, 2000 and USF Rules, 2006.
▪  Drafted, reviewed and commented upon a wide range of commercial contracts and amendments made thereof, bidding and tender documents, civil and commercial pleadings / law suits, written replies / parawise comments, official correspondence, replies to audit paras / observations made by Auditor General of Pakistan, termination notices, affidavits, undertakings, legal notices & replies thereof etc.
▪  Undertook legal due diligence of finance and security documents and other company documents.
▪  Advised all departments of USF Company with respect to wide range of issues, including inter alia, corporate, financial, HR employment matters, matters pertaining to interpretation of contracts and applicable laws.
▪  Assisted Company Secretary in performance of its secretarial duties and to ensure conduct of business of USF Board of Directors in strict compliance with PSC Corporate Governance Rules, 2013 and USF Rules, 2006.
▪  Advised Projects Oversight Committee of USF Company Board and Auction Committee of USF Company in relation to auction and award process of USF subsidy projects.

▪  Advised and represented UK’s law firm in civil and criminal proceedings before District Court, Islamabad, Banking Court and High Court for enforcement of a foreign decree in Pakistan.
▪  Assisted Partner of the firm in representing a multinational client in a civil suit challenging the jurisdiction of the court and seeking dismissal of the suit under the Recognition and Enforcement (Arbitration Agreements and Foreign Arbitral Awards) Act 2011.
▪  Assisted Partner in advising companies/sponsors on various legal, regulatory and project financing matters in relation to setting up of a large-scale infrastructure projects (IPPs, IWPPs, wind/solar power projects). Finalized contracts and project financing documentation, and also advised on post financial close support to such projects.
▪  Took part in various negotiations and dispute resolution proceedings, including, negotiations for supplemental agreements for gas sale and purchase, negotiations with banks and financial institutions in relation to securing financing facilities for setting up of power projects, negotiations with respect to operations of LNG import terminal, utilization of excess LNG regasification capacity and third-party access to LNG Terminal etc.

▪  Advised local and foreign clients on matters pertaining to intellectual property laws covering registration of trademarks/copyrights, maintenance and enforcement of intellectual property rights, infringements, anti-counterfeiting, passing off action, unfair competition, conflict and misleading advertisement, etc.

▪  Independently handled a wide range of litigation matters with particular focus on civil, commercial, banking, construction and real estate matters as well as contractual disputes before various courts of law; alongside rendering assistance to Partners in proceedings before the Supreme Court of Pakistan and High Courts.
▪  Assisted Senior Partner in representing clients in Banking Courts, High Court and Civil Courts on diverse issues ranging from recovery suits / proceedings for of outstanding loans/debts, sale of mortgaged property through the court, cases where damages are being claimed for negligence by the financial institutions etc.
